Polebridge Montana

After our McDonald Creek Trail hike we headed back down Lake McDonald and up Camas Rd past stunning scenery where we turned right at the N. Fork Road intersection. From there roads became bumpier and dustier and before long we were at Polebridge.

We had heard about Polebridge because of the bakery and every intention we had included some purchases from the bakery at the old mercantile building. But we were so famished that we went with food fare from the next door neighboring saloon instead.

Polebridge has a fun history. Check out this page. We didn’t have any cell phone, internet or electricity but who the heck cared. It was awesome to be off the grid for a while.
